Volunteers are needed on the second Thursday of each month to prepare either breakfast (7-8 am) or dinner (5-6 pm) for residents at RMH. While RMH provides all necessary cooking utensils, volunteers are responsible for bringing the ingredients for their meal. It's requested to avoid making pizzas, as they are frequently provided by other donors. RMH typically serves 15-25 people per meal, so volunteers should call 24-72 hours in advance to confirm the menu and get an estimated headcount. Volunteers are expected to prepare the meal at RMH, clean up their preparation area, and wash any dishes used before leaving.
Instructions/Guidance for Volunteers:
- Meal Times:
- Breakfast: 7-8 am

- Optional: RMH has some canned goods, condiments, and spices available
- What RMH Provides:
- Pots, pans, crock pots, utensils, and cleaning supplies
- Menu Guidelines:
- Please avoid making pizzas (Domino’s and Scotty’s frequently provide them)
- Estimated Headcount:
- Typically 15-25 people per meal
- Call RMH (715-387-5899) 24-72 hours before your scheduled day to confirm the menu and get an estimated number of people
- Cleanup Responsibilities:
- Prepare the meal at RMH
- Wash any dishes used
- Clean the preparation area before leaving
- RMH volunteers will handle the dishes used by residents and store any leftovers.
