DESCRIPTION:  Please Email Jenny King to sign up or speak to her at an upc
oming meeting  Where: Meet on Fairhaven Ave. where it meets Hwy 10 to ge
t supplies and instructions   When: Oct 5th\, 5:30pm (weather permitting)
.   What is involved: Our stretch of highway is Hwy 10 from the Clark Cou
nty line on the west to County V on the east (~2 mi total). It works best
if we have at least 8 people - 2 for each side of the road and we work tow
ards the middle (Fairhaven Ave) so everyone walks about a mile. If we hav
e more we can cut down the area each person needs to cover. Wear comfortab
le shoes\, waterproof if possible. One person will stay closer to the road
\, the other will be closer to the ditch and we pick up any garbage or deb
ris along the stretch. I will provide gloves\, safety vests\, and garbage
bags. Children are welcome if parents judge they are mature enough to be s
afe near a busy roadway. The majority of the garbage is typically pop/bee
r cans\, cups and fast food wrappers. With enough people it should take a
 bout 1.5 hours.
