Griese Park playground, (built circa 2000), is nearing the end of its expected lifespan. Many local families return to this spot for its whimsical, unique wooden atmosphere, while recognizing the need for continuous repair. The initial build was supported by a Leadership Marshfield group with a vision for a play space unlike anything in the area. Keep reading or click here to donate.

Over twenty years later, another tenacious MACCI Leadership Marshfield group has hit the ground running to bring this playground into its next iteration--a massive, $500,000 space, that could be considered a "destination playground".
Abby Meyer (Staab Construction Corporation), Bill Thomas (Exact Sciences), Connie Michalski (First State Bank), and Lindsey Safford (Forward Bank) started a new fund to accompany their plans for the Griese Park Playground Renovation.
"We've dreamt up a vision promoting overall health, wellness, and inclusion for all ages and abilities," said the group. Together, with community support, a new playground will continue the Griese Park legacy of play, bigger than ever.
