This past October, the Marshfield Rotary Club was honored to host Kaitlyn Konrardy, the Director of Community Development, from the brand-new Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield. Kaitlyn’s presentation was an exciting and informative look at how this new organization is already making a difference for our community's youth.
As many of you know, Marshfield has been working to address the need for additional after-school and summer programming for our children. The Boys & Girls Club, operating under the umbrella of the well-established Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, is a critical new resource that is helping to fill this gap.
The Marshfield club is already well underway. This summer, they launched their first school-based site at Grant Elementary. For the current 2025-2026 school year, they have transitioned to serving students at Lincoln Elementary, providing a safe and engaging environment for kids to learn, play, and grow.
During her talk, Kaitlyn highlighted the organization's mission to provide high-quality, affordable care for families and equip Marshfield's youth with the skills they need for success in school, work, and life. From mentoring to leadership programs, the club offers a range of activities designed to build confidence and character.
