Marshfield Sunrise Rotary:

The Marshfield Rotary Club sponsored the Sunrise Rotary when it was issued an official charter by Rotary International on April 12, 1993 with 28 members.  The club was unique in that its oroginal membership was split equally between women and men.  Best known for its hands-on service projects, today there are 50+ members actively involved in improving our community and reaching out to others both here and abroad.
  • Chartering: A charter banquet was held at the Belvedere Supper Club on June 17, 1993.  The Rotary International Charter was presented by District Governor Robert Zimmerman of Wisconsin Rapids. The twenty-eight charter members included the first elected officers:

      • Several of the members assisted with Sunrise Rotary start-up as participants in Leadership Marshfield in 1993.
  • Meetings  Meetings were held weekly at the Belvedere Supper Club from its inception until early 1994 when the location was moved to the Four Seasons Dining Room at Saint Joseph Hospital.  In 1997, the Club moved to the Best Western Innkeeper that was later renamed Clearwater's Conference Center and is currently Hotel Marshfield. In 2011 the club moved to the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center. The club then moved it's meetings to the Everett Roehl STEM Building at UWSP at Marshfield in 2019 where it met until the club merger with the Marshfield Noon Rotary Club.
